Nothing like a little afternoon walk

I went for a walk with Dara and our pup, Lola this afternoon (well it was more like Dara begged me to walk to JCrew with her, but that’s beside the point) and on the way back to our apartment, we caught a glimpse of the sun hitting this street. We knew we didn’t have much time before we lost the sun, so we ran back to our apartment, dropped off Lola and picked up my camera. We shot these in about 10 minutes. It was so refreshing to be back to shooting my beautiful bride….the person that first let me practice and gave me so much encouragement to really start on my journey in photography. Sometimes I get caught up with business and editing and more business and forget about the model that shares my tiny studio apartment, also known as my wife.

Tanner turns TWO | NYC Childrens Photographer

Two weeks ago, I was just getting into Louisiana for week long stay. I got to attend two weddings and catch up with friends (a little). For the most part, I was working, running the roads from Amite & Fluker (where I was staying) to New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and even 4 trips to Hammond in one day all for the shoots I had planned. I missed my car and driving since we don’t have a vehicle here in new york. Random fact about me: I LOVE to put all the windows down and blast my music while driving down random roads. I’m sure I’m not the only one out there. It’s definitely one of my favorite things to do. So it was nice to get some time to do that with the perfect march weather!

On my first afternoon, I got to meet up with one of the coolest two year old’s I know. Tanner was a blast to hang out with,
and he even let me take his picture a few times.

Tomorrow Tanner celebrates his second birthday with a party at his Maw Maw & Paw Paw’s house. Tanner, I hope you get lots of good presents and
eat lots of sugar at the party…Happy Birthday!

We wanted to thank all of our family and friends for their love and support this year. We couldn’t have done it without you all!

We especially wanted to thank everyone in our wedding party for standing with us on 01.03.09 as we said our vows. We love you guys!
