The past 5 days have been hectic to say the least…I’ve had my regular classes at ICP, a senior session, friends in town, making new friends, shot an event for a non profit, and attended two workshops.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Mike Colon. It was great to hang out and learn from him. The workshop was in a beautiful suite at the Waldorf Astoria with a few other photographers. It was also great to see my friend Ray Santana who was in town with Mike to shoot spring market week.
I’ll be posting more from the workshop soon, but I wanted to share a few of my favorites.
FO REAL…this Ines Di Santo dress was one of the most amazing dresses I’ve ever seen. We had crowds of people stopping to snap their own pics of our model Jessica and THE DRESS!

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!
I recently purchased the Instax 210 Instant Film camera. I have been wanting to get an instax for awhile to switch it up a little. I cannot wait to incorporate the instant film into more of my work and future sessions.
This is a shot that I took yesterday on 34th Street and 8th Ave on my way back to the subway from picking up my business cards (I cannot wait to show you my cards and some other things I’ve been working on). The sun was setting on the Empire State Building and this is what came out of the Instax.

You can purchase an Instax at Unique Photo

Do you remember the “night before the first day of school” nerves? They came flying back to me about one month ago when I attended Dane Sanders‘ Fast Track Photography Roadshow. I was so nervous to meet all of the fellow photographers that October morning. Walking into the beautiful home & studio of the brilliant Ira Lippke was a little more intimidating. As soon as I stepped through the door I could feel the love already radiating from the room, with Dane so welcoming along with Ira and his awesome team. The first person I met was Ginny (Gin-NY) and I instantly knew we would be friends after hearing her southern accent (I am from Louisiana and proud of my southern roots). Ginny is a talented, fun-loving photographer who’s love for Christ is evident in her love for others and passion for photography.
I am so excited for Ginny to team up with incredible photographers Lauren Clark & Erik Clausen for an amazing 5 day For the Love workshop.
A little more info on the workshop from the For the Love site: “For the Love” is not like any other workshop. It’s actually designed as a spiritual retreat where you will also be able to learn from successful photographers who rely on God for creative inspiration. At “For the Love”, you will encounter God in a deep way. You will have a chance to get away from the constant demand of your career and seek God over your business in a quiet, secluded location. You will not only draw inspiration from fellow photographers, believers, and friends, but also draw inspiration from the creator of creativity….God.
I know so many great things are going to come out of this workshop and spiritual retreat. And because a blog post is not a post without a picture, here is something for you!
I took this last Saturday on my way to photography class at ICP I looked up and saw this view. I knew it was perfect for the “For the Love” Contest!
