I had an absolute blast photographing Tara & Kyle’s wedding in Hawthorn, New Jersey. A special thanks to my my friend (and crazy talented photographer) Andres Valenzuela for asking me to come along! I got to hang at Kyle’s house with his groomsmen and family and really enjoyed getting to know his family and friends. We headed to St. Clements Episcopal Church for the ceremony and Portobello’s in Oakland, New Jersey for the reception where Tara & Kyle celebrated with their guests.

Danielle and Gregor NYC Sneak Peek | New York City City Hall Wedding Photographer
I have no words.
This couple. This City. This Heat Wave.
It all made for a day filled with me smiling behind the camera (seriously, I couldn’t stop smiling) and for a evening being thankful that I’m so very blessed to capture a love like this.
I cannot wait to share with you the love story and elopement of Danielle and Gregor, but for now a sneak peek.
A Southern Fête at Chesterton Square…the wedding of Kristin & George
I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding with the awesome Mark Eric. We shot Kristin & George’s vintage inspired wedding at Chesterton Square in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Below are a few of the images I captured but be sure to check out Mark Eric’s Blog for the full wedding!
Hugh & Christine’s Central Park Reception | New York City Wedding Photography
Yesterday I shared with you the New York City Hall wedding of Hugh & Christine. Despite the rain it was a perfect day for a City Hall wedding, complete with Cartier rings, close friends, cute flower girls and a handsome ring bearer. Today I have the pleasure of showing you their sunny reception in Central Park.
I met Hugh & Christine on the Upper East Side close to their apartment, on a sunny May day, where we walked into Central Park together. Christine told me they wanted to get some shots by their favorite spot in the park, under a cherry blossom tree where Hugh proposed. For most of my shoots, I try to scout out where I will be shooting before hand, so I can get an idea of light and location. However, as soon as we turned the corner and I saw this breathtaking scene, a HUGE smile came across my face and I didn’t stop smiling for the rest of the night. The lighting could not have been more beautiful.
Though the blossoms were gone on the tree, I was obsessed with this light and couldn’t get enough of it. We actually shot here for 25 minutes before the festivities began.
SERIOUSLY. The breathtaking light, the couple so deeply in love, and her stunning Phillip Lim lace dress; could it get any better?
I had to get a shot of her exquisite Louboutin heels on the boulders in Central Park.
Hugh’s father brought gardenia to his mother during their courtship, so he wore a boutonnière made of Gardenia from Magnolia Flowers in honor of his parents.
I took this just before Hugh & Christine walked up to the reception area to greet their guests. I’m not sure why, but I just love this image with the couple on the bench watching as the bride and groom passed.
I could not get over the amazing light that we were so blessed to have for the outdoor central park reception. It was a perfect evening to celebrate the love of Hugh and Christine.
The reception was on the veranda overlooking the Conservatory Water of Central Park, also known as the sailboat pond (more on this later).
As the reception was ending, guests participated in a model sailboat race, with the winner receiving a chilled bottle of champagne.
Hugh and Christine: It was an honor and a pleasure to be a part of your wedding and reception. I absolutely loved being able to tell your story.
And a special thanks to my great friend & photographer Samantha for shooting with me!
Hugh & Christine’s beautiful New York City Hall Wedding | NYC City Hall Wedding Photographer
Last month I had the honor of photographing Hugh and Christine’s intimate wedding at City Hall. Hugh waited on the steps for his bride to arrive wearing a bespoke suit made in Milan and a Gardenia boutonnière (in honor of his parents) made by the fabulous Magnolia Flowers.
The bride arrived in a signature NYC style (a yellow taxi hybrid) wearing a beautiful suit from the 2010 Ralph Lauren Collection and Christian Louboutin heels.
How cute are these flower girls? Clara & Ila wore fuscia burberry sundresses and were beyond excited to see Christine arrive for the big day.
I have to say, their entrance into city hall was one of my favorite moments of the day. The slight drizzle of rain, wet grounds, and the wonderful couple walking up those steps was just stunning.
Christine’s bouquet of Lily of the Valley from the wonderful Magnolia Flowers.
I loved these flower crowns made out of gardenia by their mother and Christine’s close friend.
One of Christine’s favorite moments from the day was watching the children running in the hall, though it may not have been their parents favorite moment. They really enjoyed being part of the wedding as well. Nathaniel was such a handsome ring bearer in his linen suit.
Are you kidding me? How fabulous was Christine’s hair accessory from Bergdorf Goodman?
Hugh and Christine exchanged rings from Cartier. I grabbed a quick shot of the rings on top of the ticket with their number on it. Just a few seconds later, the number was called and the ceremony began!
It was my first time to shoot a City Hall Wedding, and I was told how quickly the traditional ceremony takes. I was so excited that Hugh and Christine decided to add some personal touches to the ceremony by taking their vows out of “The Book of Common Prayer” and had their friend, Patrick, play their song “Love is Here to Stay” on his saxophone.
And for a bit of fun, a little animated exit
Hugh and Christine, it was a pleasure being part of such a special day. You two brought such elegance & glamor to City Hall.
Stay Tuned for part two of this fabulous wedding….here’s a little sneak peek of what’s to come:
As you can see a few posts back, I also shot video coverage at this wedding and couldn’t have done it all without the help from my amazing friend and fabulous photographer Samantha of Samantha Shay Photography. Thanks Samantha!
Hugh & Christine’s NYCity Hall Wedding
Here is a little look into the fabulous city hall wedding of Hugh and Christine that I shot on Tuesday. I cannot wait to show you a full blog post with images from this wedding.
A HUGE thanks to Samantha for coming along and helping me capture so many great moments!
Brooks & Bonnie Part Two | NYC Wedding Photography
In case you missed my excitement last week, I was beyond thrilled to have this shoot featured on the wonderful blog, The Wedding Chicks!
On Friday, I gave you guys part one of the shoot with Brooks and Bonnie. Today is the day: Part Two is HERE!

I was also sooo excited to get to shoot some of Dara’s beautiful new accessories that she is working on. She currently has an etsy store, but is re-branding and creating a whole new store. It will be launching this summer and will have wedding day accessories for him & her, so be on the lookout!
Here is a teaser of two of the great pieces!
The image above of Bonnie crawling on the ground is not a posed picture at all. I was going to do a ring shot of her BEAUTIFUL wedding bands and they slipped out of her hand when she took them off. We had a good laugh about it while we were sifting through the tall grass and then eventually had to call in for a metal detector. But we found the rings, well after the sun went down.
While waiting on the metal detector to arrive we had a little fun with off camera lighting and these beautiful parasols. They are perfect for any outdoor wedding or as a fun prop to have on a shoot. The wonderful Kristin at I Do Originals hooked us up with this hand painted LOVE parasol. The sun was pretty much GONE after the ring debacle but I love the look that I was able to achieve with the off camera lights. What do you think?
City Shoot with Jessica | New York City Wedding Photographer
I recently had the pleasure of shooting Jessica during a workshop I participated in here in the city. We had so much fun walking the streets of midtown Manhattan, I’m sure you could imagine the crowds we were gathering with a model wearing this stunning Ines Di Santo dress. The dress sparkled all over new york and even attracted the attention of New York’s finest NYPD.
Jessica works for The Blind Project, a collective of passionate individuals united to empower women rescued out of the commercial sex trade of South East Asia. Check the organization out, and see how you can help.
