TRENT BAILEY PHOTOGRAPHY | NYC WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER & FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER WHO BRINGS A VINTAGE EDITORIAL STYLE TO NEW YORK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY bio picture

I am an NYC based lifestyle photographer with a passion for people and fun, edgy, editorial style photography.  I love to laugh at myself, see others smile, and have the most fun humanly possible.  I love the feeling I give to my clients when they see themselves in my photographs.

I'm a southern boy living my dreams in NYC with my beautiful wife and our dog, Lola.  I love sweet tea, fall is my favorite season, my favorite musician is a toss up between Ray Lamontagne, James Morrison & Eric Hutchinson, and my favorite soundtrack is from the movie "Across the Universe".  I have an intense love for photography and learning more about the art everyday.  I am currently a student at the International Center of Photography, and in my free time, I enjoy attending workshops lead by other passionate photographers.

This is an online journal that follows my life as a photographer, husband & friend.  I would love for you to join me in the journey...so feel free to take a look around, or leave a comment.

Thanks & God Bless,

Jason & Derek | NYC Lifestyle and Wedding Photographer

Me and Derek go way back….like all the way to 2007.  I used to work at the greatest suglass boutique ever Solstice Sunglass Boutique, and Derek was the assistant manager.  It was so much fun working there, probably because it never really felt like “work” and because of that crazy discount.  It’s probably safe to assume that over half of my pay went to investing in quality eye wear.   I say “investing” and “eye wear” because it sounds much more responsible than saying I blew all my money on designer sunglasses for dara and I, but that’s another story blog post.  I will say that we still have boxes of “quality eye wear” including gucci, marc jacobs, ray ban, mosley tribes, dita, and oliver peoples; one can never have too many sunglasses.

After my time (and discount) at solstice ended, I still kept up with the crew, and heard the great news from Derek that he had started dating Jason.  Dara and I met Jason and immediately loved him.  He and Derek are perfect together and really compliment each other.  We were so blessed to have them as guests to celebrate our wedding day in New Orleans and spent a few great nights at the wine loft together.  When I was in Louisiana in March I had the pleasure of shooting these two.  They were so easy to shoot and were super comfortable in front of the camera.  And you can tell they were up for anything like running in a fountain together.

I had so much fun shooting Jason & Derek. Dara came along on the shoot to “help” which mainly consisted of making us all laugh. We had a great time in downtown Baton Rouge.  Derek & Jason we miss you guys!

Emily & Andy’s City Session Video | New York City Lifestyle Photographer

I am so excited to show my blog readers something I’ve been working on incorporating into all of my session.  This is a slideshow from Emily & Andy’s City Session.  I think they love New York as much as Dara & I.  I am learning how to fuse both still photography and video into one (fusion) and will be using these slideshows to do so.  Enjoy the video!

Emily & Andy’s City Session l New York City Lifestyle Photographer

We laughed as we sorted through a dumpster filled with perfectly good miniature pumpkins calling our names to be taken home.  It was just days before Halloween (that’s another post to come) and the brisk fall air was the perfect companion for Emily and Andy’s City Session in the Meatpacking District and on The Highline.  We chatted about many things: our love for NYC, our plans for Halloween, and the amazing burrito we should get after the shoot at Benny’s Burritos in the West Village.  I was so grateful to work with these two, they are genuinely kind, very laid back, and were so natural in front of the camera.
